Role and Responsibilities:

? To participate in a team dealing with the control and sanction of borrowings across the full range of Corporate and Business Banking sectors.

? To incorporate analysis, preparation of sign off comments and making recommendations on proposals.

? To recommend ratings and credit limits within the policy framework approved by the Board

? To mitigate credit risk and production of daily and periodical credit reports using excel spreadsheets

? To monitor exposure against credit limits and deal with remedial actions and be involved in the negotiation of credit terms with the trading teams.

? To ensure quality of the assigned portfolio and of the overall credit process in support of the mutually agreed upon credit/client strategy and growth & profitability objectives.

? Generally has been granted a higher level of approval authority than the Credit Risk Officers. The position carries a personal discretion. Provides a leadership role in modeling and disseminating the company's credit culture, growth strategy, and talent management objectives.

Required Skills

Qualification and Experience
? Preferably MBA with major in Banking/Risk Management
? Ideal candidate: Qualified/ studying for The institute of Credit Management
? At least 3 years experience of working as a credit analyst
? A sound knowledge of lending and security policies and sound practical experience of procedures coupled with a broad knowledge of Business banking operations.
? Effective lending skills including sound judgment, good financial awareness and an ability to undertake assessment of diverse business credit proposals.
? Ability to make well-judged decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant factors.
? Clear sense of priorities to achieve quality results within set timescales.
? Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
? Effective interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to project a professional image of the bank.
? Ability to absorb and analyze financial information.
? Analytical skills with previous exposure to Credit Management/Credit Sanctioning.
