System Support Assistant

Description

System Administration assistance within Corporate IT Systems including
* Network Support
* System/user Support
* Hardware/Software Installations that includes OS installation (MS windows,
Linux and Solaris, DBMS, other application software, etc.)
* Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
* Weekly/monthly Backup management
* FTP/web Servers and web site management
* Mail Server
* Source safe servers (visual Source safe and SVN) Administration and scheduled backup
* Oracle / SQL Server administration and backup
* Security Solutions (Antivirus, anti spy wares, firewalls) administration and updates
* Share point Services management
* Network/Server monitoring
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one (1) year on same position.
QUALIFICATION:
1. BCS/MCS or equivalent.
2. Additional certification on
* LINUX Systems Administration,
* Cisco and
* Microsoft is a plus.
3. Good English communication skills is pre-requisite this post.

Required Skills

1. Systems Support Experience in;
* Windows Servers 2000/2003 Active Directory.
* DHCP, DNS & Antivirus solutions.
* ISA Server 2000/2004 configuration and management, WinRoute Firewall management.
* File Server and Print Server Configuration.

2. User and System Support/Troubleshooting Experience in:
* Windows XP/2000 Professional/Server and Windows 98.
* Linux (Red Hat, SuSE Linux)
* Sun Solaris
* Oracle/SQL Server and MySQL server
* Email Clients and other applications

3. Strong understanding of
* TCP/IP, subnets, routing
* Security, firewalls, Antivirus and Anti spy wares implementation
* MS Exchange Server 2000/2003, Lotus Notes
* Network Tools
* MS SQL Server administration, backup/recovery
* Source Safe Server (visual Source safe, SVN etc)
* Web servers (IIS, Tomcat, Apache etc)
* Share Point Portal Server

4. Hardware troubleshooting including
* General hardware failure,
* RAM failure,
* Hard disk problems, processor & motherboard problem diagnostic etc

5. Knowledge/Experience in any of the following will be a plus
* Linux (Red HAT / SuSE Linux) Installation and servers configuration
* Clustering and Load balancing concepts and practices
* Sun Solaris (Installation and servers configuration)
* IPSec and VPN
* Oracle
* Windows/Linux shell Scripting
* Wireless LAN

6. Should be able to work independently under work pressure, and should be a team player as well.
